I am a current Master's student in Nutritional Sciences at the Martin-Luther-Universität (MLU) in Halle (Saale). I hold a
bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. I'm interested in Nutritional Medicine, the prevention of diseases and the
promotion of health through preventive measures in order to enable all, especially vulnerable population groups, to
achieve the best possible health. I wrote my bachelor's thesis on insulin levels in breast cancer patients with obesity
before and after an individualized lifestyle intervention and their influence on progression and survival. In my
internship at the Chair of Public Health and Health Services Research, I would like to gain insights into the social,
economic and political contexts that affect the lives of certain population groups and thus influence or promote the
development of nutrition-related diseases. The focus of my internship will be on Breastfeeding and the Commercial
Determinants of Health, specifically the characteristics, availability and costs of breast pumps in Germany.
