Working at the intersection of academic and applied research and knowledge translation, and grounded in clinical nursing practice, I am a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in Public Health. My work focuses on health systems and policies related to healthcare access and equity for migrant populations, as well as on the integration of internationally educated healthcare professionals, particularly nurses.
My research interests include social and professional integration pathways of internationally trained health workers and the health and wellbeing of migrants in host countries, including asylum seekers, undocumented populations, migrant workers, and international students, with particular attention to perinatal and reproductive health.
My professional background in nursing spans local healthcare settings in Canada, notably working with migrant communities and in humanitarian contexts characterized by chronic and acute political and sanitary instability. My work primarily relies on qualitative and applied research methods, combined with knowledge translation, healthcare workforce training, and policy-relevant outputs.
