Over the past four years, FoodSAMSA has worked to improve food environments in South Africa

FoodSAMSA cooperated with actors on different levels across South Africa, from engaging communities in three townships to policymakers on food policy implementation. End of October 2025 marked the official conclusion of the project, with several dissemination activities taking place across the Cape Town area.
The FoodSAMSA project was selected by the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) to be featured on the occasion of World Food Day.
