Changes in the functiong of patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries over time: a multilevel analysis

Description

Persons with severe musculoskeletal injuries experience impairment of their functiong to varying degrees. It often remains unclear in which areas of activity and participation the patients are restricted and whether or how these restrictions change over time.

The Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS) 2.0 of the World Health Organization (WHO) is the generic tool recommended by the WHO for collecting data on functional ability and disability based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). Within the framework of the multi-centre longitudinal study "Predicting the Rehabilitation Outcome after trauma based on the ICF" (icfPROreha), WHODAS 2.0 is applied to analyse how the functiong of patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries undergoing inpatient orthopaedic trauma surgery rehabilitation changes over time and which factors influence these changes.
