CareWell

Description

CareWell is a research project for the development, piloting and evaluation of an inpatient prevention program for family caregivers. The aim is to sustainably promote the physical and mental health of this often highly stressed target group, strengthen their resilience and provide them with targeted relief in their day-to-day care.

The preventive care program is being developed through in a multi-stage, participatory process involving family caregivers and relevant stakeholders. Central components are an inpatient stay at the Orthopaedic rehabilitation centre Rosenhof Clinic in the health resort of Bad Birnbach and digital elements for aftercare. The project is being implemented in close collaboration with the health resort Bad Birnbach and the Rosenhof Clinic.

Within an iterative, participatory development process, a need-oriented prevention program will be conceptualized. As part of this process, Current scientific evidence, information from individual interviews with family caregivers and workshops with key stakeholders will be included. The resulting prevention concept will then be evaluated as part of a pilot feasibility study at the Rosenhof Clinic and finalized based on the results.
