Development of ICF Core Sets for Hand Conditions

Description

The project aims to develop ICF Core Sets for Hand Conditions for describing functioning and disability in persons with disorders and injuries of the hand.

Based on the results and information gathered from four preparatory studies conducted in 2008/2009 (systematic literature review, qualitative study, expert survey, empirical study), 23 international experts adopted the Brief and the Comprehensive ICF Core Set for Hand Conditions at the international WHO ICF Consensus Conference held in Nottwil (Switzerland) in May 2009. The ICF Core Sets for Hand Conditions were validated in a national multicenter cross-sectional study including 260 persons with hand conditions.
