Launch of the field testing of the ICF e-learning tool

The ICF e-learning tool is an interactive web-based tool to introduce the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) to a broad audience. It was developed by members of two committees of the World Health Organization Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC) – the Education and Implementation Committee (EIC) and the Functioning and Disability Reference Group (FDRG). The tool was implemented technically by members of the Research Unit for Biopsychosoial Health – IBE of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich. It aims to give an overview of the need for the ICF, its aims, the conceptualization and uses of the ICF.

The international field testing of the ICF e-learning tool has been started on September 24, 2017. The aim of the field testing is to gather information from potential users around the world about the tool’s usability and user-friendliness. This information will help us to optimize the ICF e-learning Tool according to the needs of users.
